Useful in skin affections and ringworms. Also useful in asthma, anaemia and hiccups. The seeds are also employed as a cathartic in habitual constipation.

Seeds are acrid, antibacterial, astringent, blood purifier, constipative, cooling, bitter, deobstruent, diuretic, emmenagogue, mucilaginous,haemostatic, laxative, lithotriptic, stimulant and styptic.

Recommended Dosage : 2 to 3 g powder of dried seeds.
