Products Description
This herb is used in various Unani formulations which are mainly used in the treatment of Cardiovascular and nervous disorders.
Forms in Which Abresham is Used
Ash: Abresham is burned and its ash is applied in the eyes with an eye pencil to improve eye sight and for the treatment of diseases like Dama, Jarab and Sulaq
Powder: Powder of Abresham is used for making various aphrodisiac majoon and habb. Its powder mixed with honey acts as an exhilarant when used on empty stomach
Decoction Sharbat (Syrup): Decoction of Abresham is used for making various cardiotonic syrups. Khamira: Khamira is the most commonly used dosage form in which decoction of Abresham is used.
Distillate (Araq) Various formulae of cardiotonic araq contain Abresham as an ingredient, e.g. Araq Amber
