Products Description
The dried tuberous roots are alterative, antitussive, aphrodisiac, aromatic, bitter, carminative, demulcent, diuretic, rejuvenating, restorative, spermogenetic and tonic to all vital functions of the body, including liver, lungs, cardiovascular system, spleen and kidneys.
Useful in gonorrhoea, dysuria, menorrhagia, leucorrhoea and menstrual derangements. The tuber forms an ingredient of several medicines intended to act as aphrodisiacs. Its preparations are widely used in treating erectile dysfunction, low libido, low sperm count and low sperm motility. Ayurvedic texts immensely praise its properties of enhancing quality and quantity of semen. It is also effective in the treatment of hepatitis. It rejuvenates the liver and normalises its function. Its has a long history in the treatment of postmenopausal osteoarthritis in traditional Chinese medicine.
Recommended Dosage : 3 to 6 g powder of dried tuberous roots.
